Exhaust Flanges - Replaceable?

Are the flanges connecting the exhaust components of an exclusive Saab design, or can they be ordered as a generic part and still be mated to the OEM parts?

The flanges connecting my exhaust components on the 9-5 are rusted to hell and need to be chopped out and replaced. I've got a guy willing to do it. Strangely though, the mufflers and downpipe are not rusted at all and are in good condition. I'd like to have new flanges welded in, but I'm afraid if I get an OEM muffler replaced at some point it won't mate up with the new flanges I had put in on the other components.

Is it possible to find some future-proof flanges somewhere? Thanks if anyone has had any experience in this department.

aren't the flanges just slip fit with clamps?

Or do you mean the downpipe flange?

How much is he charging you to replace the flanges? Might as well just buy a replacement exhaust. Get a little boost in performance as an added benefit.
