I saw this and thought about it for the viggen. I can get the calipers for $150 used, so it may be in the works.

And if your pads don't come with the hardware kit here is the OE hardware part #:25900781

In that thread they quote gmpartsdirect as 186 shipped ( I confirmed this price for THESE part numbers) on thier site

If they are the correct ones that would make the set up 500 total nice deal for Brembos.

Dust shield is not a fitment for 06-09 9-5s, and didn't seem to be on SC for the 9-3ss guys.

NO! just because the diameter and rotor are the same doesn't make this a direct fit. The spacing between the caliper mounts are diff. you need the spindle that comes on the 9-3ss and the 02 and up 9-5s. Remember how viggen brake upgrades can use the 99-01 Aero front brakes. There is a reason why it only goes to 01. Starting at 02 the 9-5 became more 9-3ss ish and less c9-3ish.

There are two types of attachment: tab mount, with two tabs extending under the caliper body, and radial mount, which bolts into the caliper body.

Getting tab-mounted Brembos like these to fit a Viggen is tough because the bolt spacing between the tabs is different.

But...you can use radial-mount Brembos from any non-turbo Porsche 993 and have a custom bracket made. Nick T at GenuineSaab might still have the plans for them.

Why not just grab a few flat washers and put enough on so you have clearance then measure the thickness of the combined flat washers.

looking good! I know it woulda been extra $$$ but why not go with slotted and/or drilled rotors? Then you would have a really incredibly badass looking setup that would probably make your guts come out your mouth onto the steering wheel when you hit the middle pedal.

Personally, I hate slotted roters. In my experience the only slotted rotors that actually work are super $$$$. I use to do track events all the time and the only rotors that would not warp on me were the Brembo OE style, I even recently bought EBC rottors and guess what ? The suck and warped !

That setup looks really nice and will be rust free. One thing to do it make sure you keep the calipers clean, I had a Porsche 944S2 with Brembos all around and the person before me did not take care of the calipers. The aluminum had deteriorated do to the salt on the roads during the winter. Really is a little lame that GM did not use Brembos on the rear, of course most of the stopping is done in the front.

* 93175606 is the Saab P/n for the 314mm rotors. You don't want the 315mm ones from the Cobalt SS.

Is it me or does it look like those calipers were designed to be used with a slightly smaller rotor than the one in the picture? Looks like they are sitting a little far out on rotor?
