Shocks in 98-01 vs 01-05

Was there a suspension change between those years? everywhere online is showing the 01-05 shocks/struts are significantly more expensive.

thanks

The front spindles were changed. I'm pretty sure they won't bolt up. Though, no one has ever actually confirmed this to my knowledge.

That depends on many many things. What suspension do you currently have and what do you want to achieve?

Stock what? Stock aero? Stock LPT? V6? What year? What tire size? And what are the quality of the roads you drive?

I have Eibach springs and Sports. If you want a backroad bruiser, the Sports are great. The ride will be firm, but that's the idea. The trouble is I live in the city mostly now and I rarely see a backroad. What I do have are ruts, bumps, and potholes. The Sports are not good for that.

Maybe we should meet up and you can check out how my car rides and see if that's what you want.

Definitely confirmed on this end... I gave my 02 Aero stock suspension to a local 99 9-5 owner(dasaabguy on here) and the front struts wont bolt up because of the revised hub design. The rears and all four springs fit, though.

Wait, didn't you order B&G springs with Konis? Or am I thinking of someone else? You still want to take a spin my car and see if it's what you want?

I did, but I returned them because I changed my mind about the konis
