Got my ECU back from SteveHayes...

Super thumbs up.
He was great to work with. We PM'd a few times, and even talked on the phone for a good 45-minutes about what was going on.
He fixed the ECU that was muckled by someone else that tried to solder the header on, and flashed it/shipped it in a single day.

He went WAY beyond in making sure I got the ECU back for tonight, so I could drive the wagon to my meet, and was GREAT at listening to what I was looking for, and making it happen! (no boost restriction, aggressive timing, and the likes.)

I'm going to toss it on the dyno next weekend, I think, and I'll report numbers.
We're expecting 260-270-ish with my setup, and we'll re-work the tune, based on the a/f..

I have to learn how to read the crap the SID is telling me, now. Otherwise, I'm 100% happy with Steve's work!

"Good guy" vote for Steve Hayes!!

Thats great Craig, I can't imagine how fast you will be zooming down to Carlisle with that bike on your roof next year! What did you replace your old (failing) turbo with?

So how does it run? Details on the software he put on, and the hardware you have?

it runs REALLY well.
I actually had a scare today where I hit rev-limit @ boost, and the car started misfiring REALLY bad. like... melted plug kind of bad.

I let off, and all was "fine", except it was spitting, and popping on decel.
so, I limped it home, and parked it. It was idling VERY poorly. it was searching for idle, and stunk like gas. So, I pulled off the DIC, and pulled the plugs.
all 4 were perfect. not a trace of detonation.
did a compression test.... perfect... 210x4
went for a ride, and got new NGKs, and tossed them in.
same crap.

so, I started thinking the worst... rings/valve.

so, I leaned in, and heard a hiss. I reached back, and my damn finger got sucked onto the TB. Turns out, the vacuum line that runs out to the passenger side strut housing has seperated where the rubber, and plastic meet.

I put a small hose clamp on, and re-set the ECU, and it's back to normal.
I took it for a quick rip, and it's 100%!

So.. after a day? I love it.
It runs REALLY smooth. boost comes up quick, holds on strong, and the car feels great.
I had asked steve to only limit boost in first, and he was kind-enough to oblige.
I have full boost in 2-5, and he even bumped the rev limit up a couple hundred(to 6800)
the car gets the same MPG, and he DID eliminate the rear 02 CEL I had, but I do have another CEL for a bad heater in the rear o2(I broke the sensor)

I asked Steve for an Aggressive tune for my hardware, which is mostly stock, aside from the 3" TBE, FMIC, and intake.
I take care if the car, and it's got a new head, valves, head gasket, and all.
it runs nothing but 93, and I keep up on it.

I'm assuming he did, and the wagon feels GREAT!

like I said; I'll toss 'er on the rollers, shortly, and I'll be sure to post-up results.
I'm super happy as it is, though.

I have to look up what all the crap in the t7 SID means, but I can tell a chunk of it, anyways.

I did a quick pull tonight, merging on the highway.
I just grabbed my phone, and hit "record". I had to let off, and get back into it around 40, and then I ran it out till I "ran out" of 3rd gear.

I should mention.. this *IS* uphill

it will be.
I'm not entirely sure when I'll get to throw it on, though.

Steve, do you have a link to something that defines the OBDII readings(and what I *want* to see)?
I've figured out some, but I feel like I'm missing some info.

Jesus. 14 pages of scattered info...
Do we know what units they're in? is there a place to see the air temp after the IC? or is it just the temp @ the MAF?

I think this is the problem I had with ecuproject.com
It's a lot of scattered information I just get frustrated reading.

Most of the time, I(and most others) are looking for quick info.
I tried searching for OBDII info, and got nothing.

This should help a ton, though...
I'll wade through it, and see what I can learn.

SIDI is what its typically referred to on ecuproject. That thread links to a wiki that used to be very clear and comprehensive about the sid info, but it seems that the info isnt there anymore ! Actually, looks like its still in the history, see if this link works for ya http://virtuaalitalo.fi/wiki/stcfwik...info&oldid=152
