The cats are part of the downpipe ilLegit, not sure how you are figuring that it polutes a lot...

Anyway, its loud and the exhaust smell might get to you.

???

Ummm the post cat o2 sensor is part of the downpipe too. I ran around with an open downpipe for half a day. And that's about all it was fun for. The noise was loud with the windows down and insane with the windows up. There's also nothing to stop the car afterfiring a lot when you lift off the throttle.

It is not bad. It will be ridiculously loud, there is a video on youtube of a 9-5 running an open downpipe.
