Its basically the same as T5Suite, but with just a different Symbol list with different values to change.

Hence why I recommended the documentation as it explains the symbols somewhat.

What BDM do people use? I'm trying to figure out how to actually get firmware on and off the ECU.

well, theres this one http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BDM-Interface-...3A1|240%3A1318 It works, but its a pain (wont work under winxp) and its SLOW. I recently got one from PE Micro http://www.pemicro.com/products/prod...TOKEN=33343524 and while the price is way higher, its also way faster, and seems to be much more effective on the hard to flash AMD boxes. Also with T7 you have the option of using a CAN interface from www.canusb.com and not needing to solder the ECU at all, unless something goes wrong when you are flashing with the CAN interface.

Does anyone have any have an experience with the CAN232 adapter, either on XP or Vista? It's a bit cheaper and I have a serial port on my laptop.

Has anyone else turned on their engine data on the SID yet? That's a pretty neat function right there. I don't need a boost gauge, just watching the real-time raw airflow value on the SID is better The Torque request & Torque delivered is a pretty neat one too, among many others.

Gotta have a working SID though.

That sounds neat, both the read-outs and a working SID.

If I ever get around to doing a T7Suite on my Dads Viggen I'd want to try this SID info out.

Damn, I need to hurry up and do this. I'd much rather look at that than fuel economy.

yeah the engine data is really neat. There are about 40 different things that I have no idea what they are, one is "JERK" that goes from 1 to 40 something and changes seemingly totally at random. the ECU project folks don't seem to know what that one means either.
