huh, the SE is just styling in a 9-5 but in a 9-3 it gets a td04? thats depressing. i consider the 9-5 to be the better of the 2, but that just seems backwards.
maybe a 200 hp ecu would be sufficiant... but id definatly be interested in a used staged tune.

im amazed that no one has chopped up the new V6 manifolds and bolted t25s on them for a twin turbo setup.. im sure someone will be doing something like that as these cars get older... such a silly setup to build the turbo into the manafold.
anymore comments on the composition of the engine... it is completely bolt in style upgrade right. will the balence shaft gears and all that bolt to a b234 from a b235... i kno there prone to failure so if i can use the better conditioned gears between the two motors id be happy..

sorry, thread jacking, but also to make it known, the pistons and rods are different from an aero engine to a lpt engine. The r block has tapered rods and wrist pin collets. Eliminate the balance shaft system. not necessary. Slightly more vibration, but nothing to bad

i am 99% sure that on a b235, the internals are 100% identical.

I attempted to used parts from what was supposed to be a 99 lpt on my aer engine rebuild (con. rods) They were of the conventional strauight cut type, where as mine were beveled or tapered wider towards the bottom of the wrist pin area. I also noticed that mine had the piston skirt oil sprayers, which the other did not.

I believe the might have been a rod, piston update in 2000. So your Aero would have had different internals than a '99 9-5. The part numbers for the '99s are probably superseded by the newer style stuff.

If you were going to fix and build it to sell it, why would you buy performance parts for it, I'd get it up to stock running condition and then unload it on craigslist...

Awesome. I have one of the last 9-5s made in '99. The ECU is year 2000. My mechanic said that I already have the Aero inlet pipe on my car (year '00 enhancement). So suppose I must have the updated block.
