500+ HP Project Car

i All,

I'm doing a plan into creating an Extreme 9-5 For Track use, as I just sold my 911 Turbo, I have an EVO8, and a 2002 9-5 ARC Manual and I was looking to buy a RUF or Gemballa till I thought that a tuned 9-5 would be more fun and can get really fast after reading forums for the past few months, and getting to drive few highly tuned SAABs around made me confident that I could get to extreme performance from a 9-5.

As well I can use the replaced parts to upgrade the ARC for my daily use along with a Conservative tune 300-350hp.

I will go for a 2007 or 2008 9-5 AERO custom from factory, Didn't decide what color Yet... and the Upgrades should be done in sweden hopefully.

Looking forward to your opinions, specially Nick Taliaferro, Kevin Yankton, and most of all daveship!

Uhh, wow. Looks like you did your homework. Looking forward to seeing another beastly 9-5!!

Also, I know SaabSavior has a fuel rail for the 9-5, but I'm sure its something Nick T. or the like could fab up as well.

Why start with the 9-5?

I would get a 08 9-3ss aero with XWD & play with that instead. 500HP from a FWD car at a roadcoarse would be very interesting.

Daveship, Ed & a few others use the GT3076r & gets them into the 500 HP area from their 2.3L+ motor.

That being said, get the gemballa or even a elise with a forcefed 340kit, run circles around a 700HP 9-5

Sounds awesome man... I just sold my pretty well modded 03 Evo a few months ago, and I come from a Porsche family, so I can appreciate your taste

What kind of track driving are we talking about here (drag, road, autoX, etc.), because between all of those turbos you listed (pretty much covered the bases!), some are going to be good or bad depending on the application... And if your goal is 500+ hp (wheel?) you're going to really need to decide how you want it.

It will be driven mostly on the Circuits of the Middle East like:

Dubai Autodrome: http://www.dubaiautodrome.com

Bahrain F1 Circuit: http://www.bahraingp.com.bh/circuit-info.html
F1 Circuit & Inner Circuit http://www.bahraingp.com.bh/virtual-tracks.html

Qatar Losail: http://qatar-grandprix.com/images/losail.gif

Soon Also Al-Reem in Saudi Arabia.

But I wanna drive it in one of Sweden's Tracks before having it shipped here,
and I wonder why Sweden Doesn't have an F1 Circuit

Car will be for Track & Autocross Use .. and Drag once a Year maybe as the 9-5 is not a Drag car anyways, and maybe on highways too
