2003 9-5 b235e with b204 internals

Hi guys,

I have a quick question:
I am working on a overhaul/ project to create a b235e head with b204 internals/ camshaft and a Holset hx35 turbo (very popular among our 9-3/ 900 members). The engine is already bought and the b204 parts also (I now use a td04 16t turbo).

now my questions: the car has an automatic transmission!

1. how much torque can the 5 speed auto manage?
2. Can you tune the engine so it puts out less torque on lower gears and then pump out bigger numbers in higher gears to protect the transmission?
3. can you fortify the automatic transmission to take more punishment (like the Volvo and muscle cars guys do)

I am thinking about 400hp,( torque?) but don't have a clue how much torque the automatic can handle.

I also need advice what to buy to install the HX35. custom manifold? which wastegate? which actuator? and what more?

thanks guys

it's an A 5-speed Aisin AW unit replaced the dated 4-speed automatic with a 5-speed automatic. AF-33 \\\

info here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aisin_AF33_transmission

Look up specs and builds for them and you;ll have a pretty good idea

heres a tech manual
