Looks promising. It even has the provisions to attach the condenser and oil cooler.

Yeah, I'm playing with it a bit... I've been stage III with a stock intercooler for about 5 years decided I might was well give it one last chance to show what it can do

Showed up got here quickly, packed well, I measured it and it's square. Looks like its not another company's design. seems made well. weighs a ton. It has offset fins but they don't seem packed so I think flow will be ok, cooling for sure. We will need to see about pressure drop.

I'll need to measure all the attachment points against the stock unit to see if I need to make any adjustments.

Other than the Maptun logo cast into the end tanks I think that looks pretty similar to the Maptun "XT Series".

Which isn't a bad thing from a performance perspective but is maybe another cautionary example of why not to give design/production information to the Chinese if you're a company that wants to stay in business and maintain intellectual property.

Haha, Just noticed that too! Should be fine.. especially for my needs

Yeah there are other reasons to manufacture close to home...

When we build my products overseas we make them in our our factories, or send parts and assemble here or elsewhere, that way no one has the complete deal... costs more but protects some as well

I once knew a director level type person @ logitech who of course did alot of mfg overseas. He once told me that best advice about mfg overseas is that you have to buy everything they can make, cause if you don't buy it, they will find somebody else to buy it!

That has always stuck with me.

Yup, consistently 8-10 above ambient. I need to record mass flow to see how it looks, but as it is seems like works great...

Is that as measured by the ECU's temp sensor or by an aftermarket sensor?

My 9-5 pretty consistently sits 30-40F above ambient, and it shows 60F above ambient pretty quickly on a pull. I've been wondering if the stock intercooler is really that bad, or if the sensor is getting heat soaked.

ETA: how was the install? Does it go in the factory position between the rad and ac condenser?
