Swapping exhaust systems

Hello!

Recently bought an '04 Aero wagon, MT and would like to swap the 3" to 2.5" exhaust system from my '01 Aero wagon MT onto it. I would be putting the stock '04 Aero exhaust back onto the '01 prior to selling it.

Question: will this be bad for either car? Would installing an exhaust system that isn't set for my tuned '01 be detrimental to its drivability? (I'm assuming there will be a performance decrease..) Just curious as to overall drivability of the '01 after putting an '04 exhaust system on it.

Just don't drive the 01 like crazy and the exhaust shouldn't matter much. Just be a nice guy maybe and advertise that it's tuned for the larger exhaust when you sell it?

Cool, thats what I was thinking... thanks. And of course, the write up I've done for it is pretty comprehensive - I'll surely note that should I end up swapping exhausts. (I'm trying to convince myself not to sell the '01.. I love that thing.)
