Sans Saab for the first time since 2005.

I have been fully invaded by Germans. Here is my new DD. 2006 325i:

It's "sapphire black" with the "Terra Cotta" interior.

It's everything I like about my wife's 2003 330i, plus more. Smooth, quiet, and it looks great. 0-60 in 6.5 or so, and rated at 30mpg on the highway. What's not to like? Yes, it's an automatic. I don't care.

Plans:
New summer wheels next spring
Springs
Roof Rack tomorrow

That's it.

Kinda bummed to not be in a Saab, but you never know what the future holds.

Thanks! The PO put the 3M stone guard on the front end, the hood, the rear view mirrors, and the door edges, so it's pretty clean.

Thanks!

It's not the most exciting thing out there (base model, ugly wheels...for now), but I dig it. I was looking at 335's as well, but those sound like a real pain in the ass. I can't belive how well this thing handles, even on balloon 16" all seasons. I took an exit ramp I'm familiar with at what I thought was a good speed, and I was amazed to be going about 55 or so.

Some 18x8" wheels and nice tires will be just crazy.

So everyone is buying an auto BMW 3 series. So damn cool. When do you plan to be in a retirement home?

Are you sure that's the "Terra Cotta" interior and not the "Milan Burnt Umber?" it might have been the "Cappuccino" variant if not for the model year, when I believe "Cappuccino" was superseded by "Arby's Jamocha"....

Srsly....really nice ride. The cornering of the 3-series is ridiculous, even stock...

Ahem, I bought a 5 speed 3 series.

How do you like not having an oil dipstick? The 2006 is a desirable model in the e90 community, particularly the 2006 3.0, which was the only year it was used.

Even the base model e90 handles like a dream, and that is without the sport package! And I am digging that interior color, just too bad no sport seats and auto

Nice color combo. A set of 18's will go a long way.

Thanks guys! Picked it up for 16k, and that's a pretty solid deal from what I have been seeing.

The no dip-stick thing kinda bugs me, but whatever. I'm sure I'll get over it. 18" wheel are next spring. I'm just going to put some miles on for now.

You pull up a little level "gauge" on the info display. Pretty common in newer cars.
