Hey Johnny,

I agree. All of my friends drive newer water cooled Porsches. Although, they are nice cars, it's not the same driving experience nor do they sound anything alike.

Growing up as a child, the 911 was one of those dream cars...the one that you would hang a picture of on your bedroom wall or when you saw one you needed Kleenex to clean up the drool...

If you do decide on a later model, I would definitely try and get a turbo. My 930 is faster than any of my friends and that includes the newer 996 and 997TT's and GT3's. Although she has had some additional upgrades to make that feat possible.

Good luck,

Jitters

Hey Saabguy,

Not sure if I can make it or not. My wife has chemo on the weekends for the next 5 months, so I'm pretty limited on my weekend activities...

I've heard of the place, matter of fact I pass by his shop whenever I go to my doctor at Brotman in CC.

I'm glad to know that there some folks here in SoCal that get together. I'll definitely, when time permits, try and make it out to one of the events....Start puttin some faces to names and all that stuff...

Later...

Jitters

Come on now, you aint a true rider if you aint swung a lowlow...I grew up in Compton and South Central...Always dreamt of having a lowrider...

Use to love going to the Lowrider Super Show at the sports arena...also use to tow some of the cars for the Dukes CC over on 41st and Long Beach Ave back in the 70's...

So I've always loved the old school chevy's...still plan on getting a 47 Fleetline one of these days...
