Not always... but he doesn't have to worry about it either way. Florida doesn't have inspections.

GreySPG or get a tune when i feel like it?

David in Tallahassee Non foulers didn't do it for me. Still got an annoying CEL intermittently. I ended up using this o2 simulator:

Has worked perfectly for two years plus!

Florida doesn't have state inspections... which is where Brian resides now.

GreySPG yesssir. right above clearwater. i'm takin the first muffler out. and transitioning down to the stock pipe before the two bends when then go over the axle

GreySPG yeah I put 06 aero sport combi rims on the vig...tinted windows, lowered, rear sway bar, and this simple project along with ss brake lines. 3 bucks for a simple o2 extender saves alot of hassle. thanks buddy
09-28-2009 03:59 PM
mike saunders OK.....I forgot that the Vig had the larger pipes as a standard item, so necking down from 3" to 2.5 should be totally fine, especially that far back.

I'd leave one cat there to prevent T7 from going batshit crazy -- and in case New Hampster decides to start doing visual checks -- but use the extender...

That's going to be a nice sounding system....Are you deleting both the center resonator and the back box, or necking down just before the back box?

EDIT: You're in Florida now? I think they got rid of inspections....

09-28-2009 03:55 PM
GreySPG yeah its 2.5
09-28-2009 03:52 PM
mike saunders Yep....the anti-fouler should help with that....

Is the stock Viggen system 2.5"??
09-28-2009 03:51 PM
GreySPG and your saying to extend the sec o2 sensor out to prevent the engine light to come on
09-28-2009 03:50 PM
GreySPG i'm goin 3" into the stock exhaust before the rear axle. getting rid of both cats and the one muffler.
09-28-2009 03:49 PM
GreySPG hmmmm excellent. looks just like a bunch of male/female plugs then screw on the o2 sensor.

Will the second o2 sensor cause the car not to run correctly if i have no cat? or even if i remove the second o2 sensor? thanks

Wait...what?
09-28-2009 03:42 PM
mike saunders Best bet is to use a cat. You're not going to lose much power, if any, and you're saving the earth one drive at a time. Use a cheap Catco cat and you're set.

When you do that...or instead of doing that...weld in an 02 bung after the cat, then screw in an O2 sensor extender (also called a "spark plug anti-fouler") That might remove the CEL.
09-28-2009 03:19 PM
GreySPG so then if i keep the second o2 sensor what will happen besides check engine light?

GreySPG i dont care about emissions, just functionality. i dont have access to t7 suite. So i can put the o2 sensor in and pop a cell but the car would run fine?
