Sounds encouraging! Keeping the temp/coolant sensor with the block/head. Tweek, you got a spare T7 head that your not using? Need one intake valve to replace the chipped one in the 2.3l head. Now If I could find a cheap/free 2.3 block, I could do a real upgrade or have a spare for the 9000s ![]() |

Castor Troy | the heads are basically the same, as mcrowley stated, the ONLY difference between a 94 9k 2.3T head and a 99 2.0T head is the coolant temp sensor. coolant temp sensor follows the head year. |

A t7 head with T5 cams is an improvement on T5 cars. a T5 head is a T5 head. (I am not considering the 93 T4.9 cars T5) |

zingZACH | Not sure about on a 9-3 or NG, but on a c900 a 2.1/2.3 head makes a pretty noticeable difference. |

christian900se | Would this be an improvement in breathability? |

Should be identical. Just wouldn't wanna use a 93 or older head. How about a T7 one from Crazy Rays. |

mcrowley | I agree. The only issue you might have is that the older heads use a different size coolant temp sensor (side of the head near rad hose). |

I can't think of any reason why this would not be a direct swap. The camshafts are identical. |

Swap 2.3l 9000 head on 99 9-3 2.0 block? Will a 94 9000 2.3l turbo aero head work on a 99 9-3 2.0l block? Any issues that would get in the way? Which cams should I use? See attached 2.0 head with issues ![]() |
