Tweek's Turbos I have a 95, but glad to hear you got it figured out. I wanna make sure if I ever suggest mods, people are happy with what they get.

Keep it the way you have it, unless you get a cel or something. Just watch out now for state inspections as you'll need to know somebody.

Blaque If you haven't got a CEL light most likely won't get one

tanner55 its a 1999 .... Trexturk has the 3" turbo back no cat and he said he has no cel light and hes had it for like a year i think .... what happens if you get a light though i know on the trionic 7 it puts it into limp mode or somehting

hey i fixed my leak today at work... and everything seems to be working fine!!!.
i just bought a 2.5" band clamp and tightend the hell out of it. The exhaust is def not that loud anymore actually sounds real nice when you stomp on it. Thank you all for you help... Hope my cell light doesnt come on now though...

Blaque Tanner, do you have AIM...maybe I can help some.

Also Tweek's CEL wouldn't come on because his car is a 94, which only comes with one o2 sensor before the cat.

tanner55 tweek, were are you from ... im like an hour from rochester. That would really cool for you to swing up but i dont think i could bother you to do that. No i dont have a new exhaust clamp i could get one though what do u recomoned? Yeah i have a nice new jack and stands i just bought a few days ago and i have tools yeah...
Id rather not have to upgrade to the 3" now because i found out i cant get the deal i though from genuine soo i would really like to try and make what i have work out... Tweek did your cel light come on with no cat? thanks for helping guys

Blaque Yea he has a SaabSport 2.5" cat back, but he has a 3" JT downpipe. He's looking to upgrade to a full 3". Until then...I think he wants to fix his catback leakage.

I may be wrong tho.

Tweek's Turbos If you want, Ill drive up there Saturday and help ya out. Do you have a brand new exhaust clamp? With our cars next to each other We can see if something odd is going on noise wise with yours. I have an identical set up and dont consider it loud. I have been pulled over numerous times and the cops haven't noticed a thing.

Ced, He has a Saabsport Cat back on the car.

Tanner. You live near Rochester? I can swing up Sat. Do you have jacks and tools? I can bring some stuff up. Just get a new exhaust clamp unless urs is good.

i just talked to nick from genuine saab and he suggests that i fix the leak and put a catco 8000 series cat on it. i dont no ... i try some shit tonight
03-08-2004 11:10 AM
Blaque Take it to an exhuast shop and have them find and seal the leak. That'll be a lot less than buying a whole new system.
03-08-2004 09:59 AM
tanner55 yeah i know and now im screwed.. my car sounds like trash i have a large leak. The only way to fix it is to spend a bunch more money..
anyone has any ideas
03-08-2004 09:45 AM
Blaque Look at the diagram below. If you have the downpipe, and mid pipe, that only parts 1 and 3. Your still missing 5 and 6 (the muffler).

The advantages to buying everything together is it saves you about $100, rather than buying the parts individually.
03-08-2004 09:20 AM
tanner55 what is the advantage of buying it togther and what bends or u talking about ? please lt me know ? right now my car sounds liek shit because of the leake between the midpipe and catback
03-08-2004 08:21 AM
Blaque Tanner, although you have the downpipe and the mid pipe, your still missing some important bends as well as the muffler. I may have been better to order the whole 3" exhaust together.

downpipe leak

Nick, you think a silicone sealer will work? also did you get my p.m i sent you about the 3" catback.... Also if i have the downpipe and midpipe from jt all i really need is the muffler now correct? I want to do the whole 3" setup
03-08-2004 05:31 AM
GenuineSaab Try a bit of silicone sealer. It should not leak. Make sure the clamp and both parts are aligned.
