saabhater09 | good thing about them is...if I chose to flip those wheels and sell them...I know theres some desperate ppl looking for those wheels who can't afford to pay the 300 or so a wheel at the dealer

saabhater09 | yea there is a little bit of curb rash on one wheel...i'll probably get that refinished but its not a priority...I thought it was a good deal for all 4 rims...they look sick...I want to powdercoat them a gunmetal-ish color...or darker gray...my car is that off blue...not navy or the viggen blue but the third blue that 9-3's come in

saabhater09 | lol...yea I was exaggerating..but you get the jist...anyways...so I just bought some used viggen wheels of a guy in hampstead he wanted 375 for them...got em for 320 and was able to trade my stock orange side blinkers for his clears...good deal? Just put all new rubber on the rims, cause the rubber was shot...went with 215's instead of 225's

DanF. | Wait... why are you racing a Metro anyways?
07-24-2009 09:56 AM | ||
saabhater09 | see I would slip the clutch...but i've noticed these swedish concoctions come with a nice side of torque-steer....and unless you have the 1200 or so dollars to buy the quaife or some run some diesel slicks...you are shit outta luck.

You know, you can rev the motor a bit and slip the clutch some to get a semi-decent launch if you wanna embarrass that 3-cyl Metro? ![]() |

I thought a T25 spooled up pretty quickly?
I don't think it spools quick enough...I mean under 2500 rpms I might as well be driving a 2.3ng NA.... sometimes i think a geo metro would beat me off the line. |

and why do you only want stage 1? what do you have against stage 2? not trying to slam you but like people told me going stage 1 would have just equaled me getting stage 2 as 1 just makes you want 2 that much more...
those are also the people who wanted stage 3... |
Parts aren't all that expensive... Best route for you would be a 3" downpipe, open intake, fmic, saabsport exhaust, td04 15T turbo, and stage 4. It'll be plenty of "go" for the average driver. But be warned, you'll get bored of it very quickly and be tempted to go bigger... Or you can just go the route of a Holset turbo, injectors, tune, fmic, exhaust, fuel pump, etc... I have already used genuine saab for some basic stuff...but remember I am a college student returning to college within the next month...I will probably work during school...and I get paid by the army so maybe I can invest in that fmic and aftermarket bumper... |

saabhater09 | Honestly, I would go to epping to see other cars run...but I wouldn't run mine only because its basically stock and in need of an aftermarket exhaust and stage 1 tune....

nowhereman | i will be in bedford soon. We could try to set up an impromtu meet. i want to try and get people to Epping to run the 1/4 for s&giggles..

guru | These cars don't do "show" very well. It always sounds better on paper than it looks in execution.
