BurnsSide42 | Should bring this to Carlisle this year - the 99 Turbo section seems to get larger each year. |

9000Andrew | I second the rubbing compound comment. It will remove alot of that oxidation and make that car shine really nice. Looks great nonetheless though! |

Next time, you may want to do a simple rubbing compound before you wax. old, single-stage paint can/will clean up by hand, and will make the car look like a million bucks. otherwise... it looks AWESOME! |

I used 3M Cleaner wax. It's definitely a 10 foot car. There are spots where the Cardinal Red came back beautifully, mostly on the sides of the car. But it's a 200,000 mile Nevada car with a lot of sun-blasting, and the roof and hood just did not come all the way back. Plus the spots on the hatch where the paint has thinned so much you can see the undercoat. Plans? Keep on fixing things. Ultimately it'll need a full paint job and an interior redo. Before then I want to to get it fully sorted out mechanically, and there's a whole bunch of items on that list. It needs a fuel accumulator, a clutch, some wiring help, a new starter, and a water pump rebuild. At the moment it runs really hot, and the second cooling fan doesn't turn on, so I'm limited to short, local trips. |

Carl | I love the way Cardinal Red cleans up. What cocktail of waxes/glaze/compounds did you use? |
