SORRY NO HELP THANKS
Gold wing didn't respond yet. Anyone else who sells them?

I'm going to body shop tomorrow. I'll ask them if they would be able to make one.

srp Also try Strandberg. http://www.strandbergauto.com/saab.html

I got my Viggen/Aero calipers and carriers dirt cheap from them.

VWSAABVT Try goldwing or elite, you could also try Greenlight auto sales in Barre Vt

NahumCC Nope, I haven't been able to find them cheaper anywhere.

Sucks that the front lower lip of the 3 piece shield costs so much. I need all 3 pieces plus both fender liners .

That's a good question. Anyone wants to check my car's VIN?

So together it makes about $250 shipped. Anyone knows a less expensive source for this kind of stuff, not to mention ERP's DIY?

k1llsh0rty yes rafal you have to get those 3 to make a complete air shield in front. trust me you need it. they are designed for airflow not only under the car but also to direct air to the radiator/intercooler.

k1llsh0rty this is what the Viggen comes with from the factory, there is technically 3 sheilds in the front.
the part numbers are....
5122551 for center shield #12 in pic
5023957 RH sheild
5084835 LH sheild

hope that helps bud!

Approaching 110 mph it felt dangerous, the Saab would squirm around like in a high crosswind. The reason was the aerodynamic flow under the front bumper. A high pressure bubble was formed under the front end and was un-weighting the front of the Saab. Normal driving speeds were fine, but the bad airflow also increased drag and decreased fuel economy.

The fix for this problem is simple, Saab makes a lower splash guard for the Viggen bumper, but at a cost of $170. Using cardboard, fiberglass and sealing paint I was able to make my own for $30. Itís not pretty but since no one can see it I didnít care. The one I made is also large and smoother than the part from Saab. There are mounting holes already drilled in the bottom of the bumper and a nice long lip for the splashguard/airfoil to sit on.

Sleepy7666 Sorry to thread jack but how do replace those plastic nuts? Mine were rusted inside and when I unscrewed them they broke right off.. Every single one on my front driver side air shield.
04-14-2009 06:47 PM
k1llsh0rty hmmm i will have to look at work tommorow. first one might be the side air shield and the second one is the center air shield. i'll look tommorow.

rafal But my main question is:
"also, what do you call this plastic piece underneath the car, that connects to the bumper? saabsite has "LOWER SKID PANELS BELOW/BEHIND SPOILER SAAB 93 1998-2003" but i don't understand the difference between:
93 1999-2003 Air Shield Driver Viggen & Aero WCS only OES($ 42.30)
and
93 1999-2003 Front Air Shield Viggen & Aero WCS only OES ( $ 194.58 )"

what is the difference between these two?
04-14-2009 11:13 AM
k1llsh0rty rafal the front piece is the under tray, conncts to the bumper and subframe. the other piece you have pictured is the finder liner. check eeuroparts.com. they might have it.

Air shield and wing liner?

Is the wing liner (?) different for a Viggen than a regular 9-3?
if you don't know how the wing liner looks like ( i didn't), here it is:

I remember somebody was giving some info to some place that sells this kind of parts for less. link, please?
