Pretty sure the turbo and non-turbo use the same head, but different pistons. The only 16V head variants I know of are the B202, B212, B234(longblock), B2X4 (all T5 engines from 1994+), B23X5 (all T7 engines) ...

... You could grab some 9000 turbo pistons and stick that in the 2.3L. They should take the compression down to 9.3:1 ... combine with a double thickness headgasket and you're down to say 8.8:1 ...

I think you oughtta just stick with the 9.3:1 compression option and if you aren't intercooling, look for some help from an Aquamist water injection setup. It will help you greatly even with an intercooler as well. Especially if you use the stock 10:1 compression pistons.

I've thought of supercharging a C900 before ... mainly because it would provide a good smooth powerband without huge, transmission destroying, torque spikes that are especially hazzardous to the C900's rather weak tranny. Should still be really awesome on a NG 900 .. looking forward to seeing the pictures!

WS hmmmm supercharging an NA car?? or taking the turbo off and adding a supercharger???? or both supercharger and turbo? First two seem easier than the third, and more realistic. I know with the 03 cobra a lot of people take the supercharger off it and turbo it. They just use the intercooler that comes with it and it works damn good.

I think I'm gonna do it. I am working with the owner of a Saab dealership (we're just tight like that) and so I get to use all of the equipment for free, plus the cool man helps me do everything because I don't know squat about Saabs.
He has always been interested in supercharging a Saab, and he sees mine as a perfect opportunity I guess. I have no problem with that, as my car is slow anyways.

We'll have to see how it goes. It will pretty much be experimental. Now you don't need to tell me to go read all of the other threads on why turbocharging is proven better than supercharging for imports- I don't care.

It outta be fun. This will all start within the next two or three months. I'll keep you all updated. Let me know what you think (in a reasonable manner...)
