|viggenkid||I would say use whatever tuner is closest to you and have your car custom road tested.|

|soggy||I've had a BSR tune for the last 3 years. My next tuner will probably be JZW or Frank from SQR.|

my 2 cents:
What i thought:
As a pro tuner with access to dynos ect one should have a fairly comprehensive library of ready made tunes for almost all combinations that are out there.
What i got even with just stage 3:
Tunes that did not work. Tunes that worked only on WOT. Tunes that adapted all to hell. Fuel-cuts ect.
This to me is something i cannot understand, if you have access to equipment that allows you to run a full mapping with different load points across the maps, why isn't this done. Why is the fuel mapping incomplete, and why aren't the airmass axes on any of the pro-tuned maps i've seen changed?
a 477bhp tune with fuelmap that caps out at 1300 cannot be good.
Instead i've taken the time to try and understand how the t7 works, work with the suite and gradually build up the tune my self. The ecuproject community has been a great help here. Currently i'm running pretty nicely around 1400-1500mg/C as requested with no major hick-ups apparent. Next on the agenda will be the next step, to modify everything to a 1600mg/C range, it will take time but so did the engine rebuild and all the other mechanical work.

I went with JZW, altough he doesn't have the "Experience" that all the pro tuners do I think that all the positive feedback towards him speaks for itself. I don't think I have seen any help threads started after someone puts one of his tunes in their cars, but I have seen many after people get a "pro" tune, but well see. I am going from a stg 3 sqr tune to a jzw stg 5 and I can't wait to see the difference.
As for not wanting to do it yourself, you say that you like working on your own car. I am sure that before the forums you probably didn't have that much knowledge on swapping the aforementioned parts but you gained enough confidence through others posts on how to do it. I am sure the same goes for the T5/T7Suites. I have heard (yet not tried) that tuning your car is a whole lot simpler than what you may think, and when I have the time to go through the forums I plan to teach myself.
I think that before you make a decision on what you are going to do you need to read peoples reviews on the products that they have received Vs. what people are telling you in a post like this. if you look back to posts from 1-3 years ago the reviews are very scattered along with the information about what people were actually getting (Tuner wars )
Sorry if I was rambling on, but that is my slightly intoxicated two cents, I hope that I made some valid points.

|dcr99vig||i have a sqr tune in my viggen and i am not to impressed with it. at the low rpm i am fine, 2500-4500 i run really lean. up above that its very rich i will get my dyno chart to give you exact numbers. i think i am going to try a jzw tune, i dont have the courage to t7 suite my own.|

|mcrowley||Both of my cars were done by Frank (SQR). 9000 was done 4 years ago, 900 before I got it (2006?).|

I can say from experience that BSR T7 tunes seem to be way on the agressive side, borderline dangerous. They seem to like to jack everything way up, and crank DOWN the knock sensitivity. Makes for either a very quick feeling car that blows up eventually, or a very inconsistent car that makes a different amount of power every time you go WOT.
Read up on ecuproject.com and tune it yourself!

|stromer||Guesing t7, since this is posted in the 9-5 thread.|

What car are we talking about here? T5 or T7? They all seem to have their strengths and weaknesses, some push the boundaries of safety more than others.

Which Tuner did you use?
Who went with what,
What were your thoughts about what you got?
