NahumCC Its been forever since I was SC and even looked up any info over there. I just remember seeing this over there. Can't remember who posted the info up though.

Is that true or jsut lore... I think it was Dr Boost ( the Saab engineering guy) who said it was in the ecu. If so why cant;l th eECU project guys figure this one out.. now that would be something

GenuineSaab There is a standalone box that will do something similar but with the addition of logging.. Not sure I can post the video yet though. Looks really nice assuming you have a good sid display.

NahumCC Ok this popped up on SC a while ago. From what I remember seeing its T7 only and has to be unlocked in the ECU (i.e. during tuning). Apparently during T7's development it was a way for the engineering guys to get real time data to adapt parameters on the go.

PoisonBeef you have to have a computer in the car interpreting the CAN signals and telling the sid what to do.

If someone could build a microprocessor that just does this, they might sell.

Agreed, I would be all over this. My car-guy friend would poop themselves when they saw IAT displayed on the SID. What a useful diagnostic tool, and so clean.

stromer Looks very cool. I've heard of some guys in Sweden going this, but it would be great if the practice could be simplified enough for the average joe.
