miochza Should I wait then from ordering the Intake pipe from, and wait for RCM... I saw on Dan's page he already has one...I think I have to wait for some money anyway

rcmdesign Ok Well this is on hold as of now. Temporarily. I've had recent issues with the silicone connectors coming lose from the stainless piping and then having the car stall out and having to pull over to re-connect it. I don't feel safe selling these yet before I make some final touches. The pipe sizes need to be adjusted so there isn't as much tension on the system. Also I need to find a way to keep the bottom stainless pipe in place, as of now it just bobs up and down which is bad on the MAF sensor...I'll let you know what I come up with guys. Sorry for the delay, just want to make sure you are getting a good product.

danthegolfer aite so any updates o nthis? such as testing OR price... im goin sumwhere for the next few days (my uncles house, close to carlisle) so ill be out of it for a few days, ill be back saturday probably...

saabguy the air filter would stop most of the water, if anything did get through, it would get sucked up as a mist, and engines can burn a mist of water just fine, and it wont do much if any damage to an mas or amm, but, if the filter get's too wet, it'd struggle to get air in, (kinda like trying to breathe through a wash cloth), and that'd be bad

Just strictly speaking of potential water movements in the car with momentum forces put upon it : Accelerative forces (speed up) could potentially cause the water to move towards the throttle body while decelerative forces (braking) could potentially push the water back towards the filter. Ha, guess I am learning something from my Dynamics class. My only concern would be water in the filter, can't image the water making it up too far, and even if it did the only part I'd really really worry about is water damaging the AMM.

danthegolfer i dont know too much about it, but even if water were to get through te filter, would the engine really be able to suck hard enough to oull the water straight up, against gravity and the momentum of the car, up that first pipe ?

rcmdesign No problem we need more NA products anyways

I went through a bad rain storm with no issues. There was tons of water on the road, and tons of it spraying onto my car. The foglight really protects water from getting in it. I need to take it apart though after a rainstorm to see if it sucked up any water into the filter...

saabguy that's what i'm worried about too, i swerve to hit puddles, so water would be a bad thing in my intake.

why not just get the intake from genuine saab, and the pipe from the maf to the cone filter, and have a metal heatsheild around it, like what k&n does

my only concern is water gettin into the filter, aside from that i think its good to go!

rcmdesign I've put a lot of miles on this system driving from here in Erie down to DC, and DC to Cleveland and back to Erie. So far it drives nice. Even on the really hot days. I also have driven through serious rain with it and no problems (that I know of)...It sounds louder than my last setup, and it has noticeable less hesitation when I ram the pedal as you mentioned...There are still some minor tests I want to do such as testing air temp etc compared to stock airbox, just been so busy...

slaab4life One thing I'm curious about. How does it drive with this design? I've played with this idea before throught the airbox. Enlarged it to about 3" and found that when I press on the gas around 2000 to 2500 rpm, intake gets loud and the engine seems to bog until I back the pedal off. Over-saturated with air perhaps? I'm curious how this design is working at for you thus far.

ng900 Me neither. It's official, the Leafblower (aka "supercharger") doesn't do squat. The funny thing is that I think it would, but the MAF seems to screw things up. So I'm ripping it out and rebuilding the intake.
