sport muffler & tip on ebay!!!

For anyone looking for a sport muffler:
05-16-2005 12:07 PM
rcmdesign I have an aftermarket muffler that has the tip built on to it, and I paid like $60 and it sounds really low and sporty...I don't know of many other types of mufflers. I know flowmaster is good. And magnaflow. Mike Connolly had an N/A and he used magnaflow. Check out his exhaust pics:

Wowko do u no of any other free flowing types on ebay that need a tip, which are cheaper than flowmaster on ebay or other online stores?
05-16-2005 11:33 AM
rcmdesign Per the description it sounds free-flowing...
05-16-2005 11:28 AM
Wowko how about a flowmaster 40? SUCH AS THIS
05-16-2005 11:07 AM
rcmdesign Um No. Cutting the cat is actually bad for performance as it INCREASES the flow significantly, and on an N/A we can't have this. A sport cat will increase flow perfectly. And using that muffler is going to DULL the sound a lot. It's just an ordinary muffler. You need a free flow design muffler straight through...

Wowko I want to cu off the cat, replace the stock muffler with this one ( ) and put on my Monza tip, will this work out for performance and sound?
05-16-2005 08:17 AM
rcmdesign Me? I would keep my aftermarket muffler, and just use the stainless piping from a 2.5" kit...But I know it will bolt right on, and I would just need to get the muffler welded on, cost me like $30 in DE.

citronxbeige would u sell your afteremarket muffler or what if you decided to go with saab sport? just curious if ud wana hook your muffler up to it or use the provided muffler
05-16-2005 06:32 AM
rcmdesign I love to get a 2.5" exhaust that will bolt on so I won't have to go custom...
05-15-2005 10:13 PM
citronxbeige its 2.5" piping from the cat back, no resonator, and a single muffler which fits into the exhaust hangers as stock would. there is no tip on it and im not sure as to whether or not they provide new clamps. ive heard nothing but good reviews with this product.

PureNordicPower Well what is included in the 330 dollar saab sport exhaust? Th descriptions could be ALOT better.
05-15-2005 09:06 PM
Logan Leslie Sport/performance cat's are very expensive.. you'd be better off just running without one anyway
05-15-2005 08:32 PM
PureNordicPower The Saab Sport exhaust looks primising, anyone have any experience with it?
05-12-2005 01:44 AM
flames What about a sports CAT. Anyone know how good the CAT is on a 97 2.0?
I know some cars are really bad and some quite good. Can gain a bit of HK with a good CAT Ive heard.
05-11-2005 10:19 PM
Logan Leslie Keep in mind I don't know if this is true on 9-3s, but on my 9000 turbo my stock exhaust from the cat back is 2.5 inch. Maybe you can take the exhaust off of a turbo 9-3 for your cars and get 2.5 inch cheaper?
