|PureNordicPower||What are your other intake plans dan? I was going to start piecing together an intake system in the next week or so, I'm liking what I see one RCM Design's. Just a little curious what kind of pipe is used to bring it down from the GS Intake.|

i didnt request the yellow, and ther were no optiosn when i ordered it. nick emailed me and said he had some in a yellow color and i said "sure"... nyah

aren't you th guy that was all pissed off just a day or two ago?
sheesh, looks like it all turned out just fine. in fact, looks like you got hooked up pretty good, I wouldn't be surprised if that yellow was custom or something. I thought those came in black.

|BORKAT||The yellow will look different in different lighting. But yeah that looks way off. Maybe if you wrap some Christmas lights around it.|

|rcmdesign||Here's a photoshop with it sitting in the engine bay, you do the comparison...The yellow is way off IMO...And with yellow, you can't have yellows that don't match...It just looks ugly!|

|ng900||When you order that pipe, does it give you different colors to choose from, or did you have to specifically request it?|

|citronxbeige||before you repaint the bar at least see how it looks with all yellow. i mixed silver and red when i did my bar and i think it came out pretty nice, u can take a look for urself. maybe yellow ends with a black middle. i know it was black to begin with but a new clean coat of paint will make it look a lot better.|
|05-04-2005 05:54 PM|
Well sorry to tell you but that yellow on the new intake is not going to match anywhere near your valve cover or your strut bar, and there will be WAY TOO MUCH yellow in there and it will be different colors. I suggest you stop using yellow unless you know how to manage the color
Did you pay extra to get the intake tube powder coated in yellow?
|05-04-2005 05:24 PM|
what color would u recommend to repaint the strut bar? cuz when i painted it i wasnt planning on the yellow intake....now there will be too much yellow in the middle i think... im just not sure what will look good... im thnking silver tho.. but o well what do you guys think
heres a pic without the yellow intake yet, cuz i havent goten it yet, but do u think it'll look good with all the yellow ?
|05-04-2005 05:05 PM|
No, you never mix silver and yellow, it's a no no...
If you listen to everything I tell you, then you'd have my car
|05-04-2005 03:21 PM|
|danthegolfer||yea i know, im thinking about redoing my strut bar so the bar part is silver and the part where it conencts the the suspension is yellow... sound good ?|
|05-04-2005 03:09 PM|
Kevin I think it's just the way it was designed so as not to hit the hood...But I am not sure either what specific area you are talking about...
I didn't know you could get it in yellow!! Well too much yellow will ruin the engine bay anyway, and you're almost there

What is it about n/a guys and the yellow?
Seriously, though....No doubt Nick was going to come through for you. That's going to look nice on your ride...

|KevinY||Is there a "hump" right before the pipe enters the throttle body flange? Looks kind of like a speed bump inside the pipe. Am I seeing this right? Why is it there? Is there some kind of obstruction on the N/A cars that requires this?|
