Only problems with running the 2.3 high revs is valve springs / valves if t5 I turn my Vig 7200 thats maybe a little much but has been for years.. If it brakes well not going to blame the tuner.
Piston speed becomes a little bit of an issue at high revs. I run JEs in my vig but plan to keep stock till there is a reason to replace.
Now the challenge is actually making power up there.. Sometimes it is nice to be able to overrev a little even knowing power is falling in a situation where shifting would cost too much time. Ex: My vig goes through the lights on the 1/4 on limiter in 3rd.

this is a pretty cool project, but i dont see a high rev limit unless he destroked it to 2.0. what is it running for timing?

this does sound like a very fun project though. i've been enjoying watching it progress especially since these old n/a ng's are starting to get really cheap!

|GenuineSaab||Here is the rough plan... Since the header makes more midrange, switch to the 2.0 short intake and see what happens. Once we can sort the fuel and timing maybe bump the rev limiter a bit should get exciting.. Maybe e85 too since it smells so good. Best part is hopefully with a modified t5 harness it will be a relatively easy swap. Plus when I get tired of the na LPT e85 will be close then we play when will it pop..|

Sensors seem to the the biggest difference..
Anybody have a 94-95 t5 2.0t 900 Manual engine wiring harness the would like to donate to the cause? Later would work but would have extra crap.

|SAABOOST||How much different is the 94 9000 b234i harness to say a b204L harness, besides the BPC? A few pinouts? Thoughts of a being able to swap back and forth from a 200bhp b234i and a 300hp b204/b234 in an afternoon with pretty much just an ecu/engine swap would be the sh!t|

Yeah that's pretty nice but as soon as you say "Abbott", you say "I can't afford that"
Besides having C10 in the tank, loads of weight reduction, shaving the heads 30thou, gasket matching the intakes and the early 94 4-2 manifolds, we haven't done much. I need some idea's on some not-so expensive invisible upgrades.

|JK||There are many other european makers who use Motronic - BMW, Volvo for sure, and certainly more. They are all going to be different for each car, but I'm sure not so different that tuning them is a totally different ballgame.|

Could you give me an example?
We just picked up (2) NG2.3i that are being caged as I type. A heavier 150bhp probably isn't gonna cut it against the 160-200bhp Jap's. I mean driving abillity can only make up for so much.
