|DeLorean||mine was the same way, I think it's just built up rust and anti-seize. Initially when I went to put the rotor on, I thought maybe I had the wrong ones or something I took a wire wheel to all the old rust, put on some fresh antiseize, and the new rotor dropped right on no problem. 100% perfect fitment. I think the issue is that the clearance for the rotor is so tight to the hub, any little bit of rust gets in there and makes a wall the new rotor can't get over.|

Got it, thanks, I tried to get the rotor hold screw off with a hex and it was torx ( that's what I get for not wearing my glasses to work on the car). Did not strp though got the torx in it and got it off ok.
The new rotor was a bear to seat, I think the hub is out of round. Had to put the wheel on and torqe it down to get the rotor to mate flat against the hub.
Could have been the the rotor was a bit too small of a hole ( dang aluminum rotor hat.)
Should have it all buttoned up tomorrow, it started to rain pretty good.

Its definitely possible, believe me. Work on enough bicycles (where almost everything is hex/allen bolts) and you'll find some that are stripped/rounded.
Usually what causes it is the wrench gets worn and starts to round...then it'll slip out of bolts...you get the picture.

You know thats the beauty of hex heads. I have yet to strip the head of any hex bolt.

Just start putting in hex keys till you get the right one. I used to know but can't recall off the top of my head.

Front Disc Caliper brake removal Q
Hyy anyone know what size the hex key ( is it a hex key) for removing the front caliper is? can't tell ( or see) to decide
