Thanks all![]() But I re-looked at all the body work it's gonna need. Yikes ![]() Everybody.. Check out Sabnet. It's the two fo one sale on 99s. He's willing to separate them @$750 for the ems.(non-racer) He does have a list of people, we were at the top. We are currently waiting for the snow to melt to get into a guy's barn to check out a 95wagon and a 96 both 1963 bullnoses. ![]() I'm just not into all the bodywork stuff. So I think we're going to for go it. ![]() |

If you need places to stay along the way, I'm sure some of us could put you up... I'm only 15 minutes from the DC beltway myself. BTW... the Auto-Train only leaves from Sanford, FL and would cost you around $400 bucks... but it only takes you to the DC area (Lorton, VA), so it's most likely not worth it. |

stevehayes01 | You have to be carefull with haulers too.... the one that moved my 9-3 from SoCal to Florida added an aditional $2600 in damage to my $750 transport fee. Plus a blown turbo and a bent rim that I discovered when I got it back from the insurance company. | |

We've looked into a hauler and the costs look like $600 flatbed and 1200 for enclosed. Ouch. For a $700 car? We've done the uhaul thing from CT to ME, (pulled by another 99)not bad. But from GA? I was asking to see if anybody does this regularlly for a dealer or something, so I could get a grip on how to get this car here. The 99 has atleast 200K on it, but has been used on long trips lately.SOOOO... Drive it? Time doesn't seem to be on our schedule right now, so a hauler might be the best avenue. Why do these nice cars always for far away??? ![]() |

I had a car hauled outa maine to central NY back in 97 by a plain old rollback. Cost was like $400. You may be able to get the car on a car train that comes up here to DC and go from there. |

Transporting a car? Has anybody transported a car from away? Any advice on carriers??? The 99 is down in Georgia, I'm in Maine. It does run, so no problem getting it onto a flatbed. ![]() |
