We do not recomend to switch ECU at all.
Often there is a lot of program changes beetween model years, so by 99% we can say that the newer box woun't fit the older car.
Sorry for this bad news.

|bollman||Well, since it´s a 96 ECU in a 95 car it should work, just that the CE-light will go on. Sorry, I forgot about US specs, in Sweden, those kind of stuyff entered the scene in 99|

|GenuineSaab||In the USA 1996 and later cars had OBD2 with dual o2 sensors that Ecu with only one 02 will not pass state emissions. Also you will have a problem with the EVAP PURGE VALVE With the early ecu in the car it will hold the valve always open causing boost pressure to be applied to the fuel tank... Very bad indeed.|

|bollman||The ECU has to be married to the car via a TECH-2, but otherwise it should work fine in your car (because of the immobilizer). Most people agree that the BSR stage 2 and 3 don´t seem to differ from their stage 1, the latter stages "only" benefits from the other hardware upgrades, so you should be fine even if you don´t have the 3" system.|

BSR STAGE III ECU ??
Does anyone know if a BSR Stage III ECU that was in a 96 900s turbo(manual 3dr) work in a 95 900se turbo(manual convertible)???
here are some of my concerns:
Will this swap work without any problems or gliches?
Will it read all the options that come equipped in the SE convertible model etc.?
Will i have any problems with the radio code?
Is there anything i should look for on the ECU box that would hender it from working properly in my Saab?
Any immobilizer features on the 95 900 models?
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
