9Kwrecker Same here. I had no luck finding anything until I searched on ebay.co.uk, I went there looking for a used OEM set and found these instead.

They don't have the metal clips on them, but you could either transfer those, or since mine were already missing on my orange ones I just don't have them and everything seems fine.

Oh, nice. I was never able to find cheap alternatives on eBay. I guess I never looked internationally. They look just like my OEM ones. I'll keep that in mind for the Glacier Blue wagon.

I bought them on eBay:

Troup Headlights look great! What clear corners are those?

9Kwrecker Did some things to this car since the last update:

New A/C compressor and condenser. System works, no leaks, but I don't always get cold from the vents because I still need to fix the blend door motors.

Polished up the headlights and installed euro corners:

Put green LEDs in the displays and white LEDs in the puddle lights throughout:

Aaaaand I just picked up the RK1s from the powder coater yesterday:

I thought you were on this forum. Glad it worked out with you and Jon and I was able to benefit as a result.

I should be doing something with these soon, I just need to get a few other irons out of the fire first.

Cark A quick sandblast should clean those right up no?

I regret selling my 17" RK1's as well... I have some 16" RK1's that I ran for the winter, they look really great. If I had another set I'd be more than happy with running 16's in the summer as well. They just look goooooood.

9Kwrecker Got all new shocks/struts/springs and ball joints, all new OE stuff thanks to WSW's tip about eSaab. It's like a different car.

These also came in the mail today from Troup, gonna be a whole lot of work but I can't wait. I've been looking for another set for the wagon ever since I (stupidly) sold my Viggen with the set I found last summer.

9Kwrecker Posted this on the FB group also but might as well ask here in case someone had the same problem (this is on the 02, the 04 sold a couple weeks ago):

Haven't been able to find anything on this issue elsewhere. It seems to be mostly a problem when outside temps are lower.

Most of the time when I turn the key from engine running to lock, everything works properly with all the lights etc going off and the radio stays on until I pull the key out.

But sometimes, instead, as soon as I turn the key, the radio cuts off with the key still in the ignition, and the headlights are on (no other lights on) whether I had them on when I shut the car off or not. When this happens, the lights stay on even when I pull the key out. Cycling the key back to on (don't have to start the car, just turn the key to on and back off) returns it to normal.

Anybody run into this and fix it?

9Kwrecker The 04 has an issue preventing it from coming up to normal operating temperature, which also means little to no heat in the cabin. Important to note that on my 500 mile ride home, the heat worked and the temp gauge read normal.

PO told me he replaced the tstat just before I picked it up, he said the car was working fine but he thought the gauge was reading lower than normal so he replaced it. I was driving it a week or so ago and the temp gauge quit working, so I assumed faulty ECT even though a code never popped up. I replaced that, and the gauge now reads very low.

My question is, should I be checking the PO's work on the thermostat job, or is there something else that could be causing it to run cold?

9Kwrecker I have reset the ECU, it actually has a different one in it since I bought the car.

Planning to try swapping the Forge BPV that came on the car with a known good stock valve, test drive, if no change, check/clean TB, and if no change, drop the DP.

I was just curious if anyone has run into this before and knew where I should start.
11-28-2017 07:16 AM
srp So you've not tried a different DIC? Have you ever reset the ECU?

Tboy Does it Rev Freely?

My first thought was plugged exhaust. I wonder if it would be beneficial to take some time and disconnect the DP and see what happens.

9Kwrecker Back to the black wagon, I've had this issue with it since I got it, and I would like to get it cleared up before I sell it on:

It's very heavy/sluggish feeling right off idle up to ~3k rpm, then it runs like you would expect. Until that point it feels very reluctant to rev, and it makes it kind of hard to drive the car if you're not used to it. I've put about 22k on it the way it is and it's never changed from day 1. It's never thrown a code.

Things I've tried: checked the MAF, replaced the air filter, replaced the vac hoses, replaced the plugs, fuel filter, fuel pump (when it failed), nothing made any difference.

Has anybody ever run across a 9-5 with this problem and fixed it?

Most of my other options to resolve it seem like they should trip a code if they were the issue, like a DI, or a throttle body, plugged cat, etc.
