Some id 1000s are supposed to idle fine, you max them suckers out your putting down some pooweeerrr. they also have id750's (Injector dynamics btw) it all depends on how you drive imo, holsets are common nowadays, hell people are even using the common rail he351w |

I like the Bosch 044's. They're huge but they'll fit in the stock canister and that way you know you'll never run out of pump. There are two injectors that are pretty common for larger setups, Siemens Deka 630's, which will be too small for an HX35 IMO, and the 850's, which are harder to tune and make run right--but do have published latency tables available to calibrate correctly. I don't know if BCB does the Deka 850's or what, but if they're your chosen tuner I'd talk to them and ask them what's their preferred big injector that they can make idle correctly and behave during transitional off/on throttle situations and not wash down your cylinder walls and ruin your oil---especially if you ever think about running e85. |

Here's a calculator that helps you size injectors: https://www.rceng.com/technical.aspx but if you're familiar with sizing injectors for V8's then of course the approach is pretty much the same so that's probably old news to you. Every question that you've asked has been discussed here very thoroughly through the years. Additionally, a large portion of what constitutes standard staged tunes these days was developed on this very site, so there's lots of expertise here that can respond to specific and knowledgeably formed questions. As example, you ask "what intercooler do I need", the answer to that is actually "a bigger one". Beyond that, if you do some searching and ask something like "is ebay cooler xyz really worse than the $400 Genuine Saab unit?" or something like that, you're likely to get a few more bites. Welcome to the site by the way, there's a ton of good information here. |

StylenZ | Look man I am starting out with a TD0415t with a stage 3 BCB tune but I have an HX35 for a swap later on down the road. I'm gathering all the parts and info I need now. I'll admit I'm new to Saabs but I've had full resto V8 projects in the past. Installing these parts is not THAT difficult. I JUST NEED TO KNOW WHAT PARTS I NEED and where to find them. My motor is stock but has been freshened up with all new ARP fittings and a stage 3 clutch. The car is more expendable to me than a true Saab Enthuesiast. I should probably need bigger injectors anyways with the Td04. I just need some advice and links. Part numbers ect.. I'm asking very simple questions here. Don't take me the wrong way man but I was hoping the gentleman before you would hit me back with a more detailed response. What size injectors? Part number would be nice. What intercooler do i need? Are there any adapters that would make the custom exhaust more easy.

Don't take this the wrong way, but perhaps you should start with a more standard upgrade path. Swapping in an hx35 is like jumping into the deep end. I suggest a td04, that sounds right up your alley. |

StylenZ | Thanks for the reply man! I need a manifold with a T3 Flange and External wastegate. sasautocustoms makes a good one. They also have a pretty popular facebook and their website doesn't seem to be untrustworthy. SAAB 900's are T3 flange right? I could source an OEM intake manifold. What size injectors would I need to run? Doesn't the Viggen run bigger injectors from the factory. Can you send me a link for a better Intercooler that won't break the bank? Exhaust is gonna be tough because their are only mom and pop exhaust shops in my area that don't have manderal benders and act all sketchy if you ask them to do something that isn't OEM design or EEA approved. #OHIO This is why I asked if anyone made an aftermarket down pipe since the HX35 is a pretty common swap.

You're looking at a completely custom setup, here. You'll need way more fuel, a much better intercooler, and a custom 3" turbo-back. What manifold are you trying to use? |

1999 Saab 9-3 HX35 SWAP? Going to purchase an HX35/40 off a friend. Top mount. External wastegate. T3 Flange. I have a 1999 Saab 9-3 SE B204. Can I purchase a bolt on downpipe anywhere???? Or adapters anywhere? I think an HX35 runs a 4in downpipe. I have everything else figured out except for exhaust and intercooler. Is the Viggen intercooler that much better? If so where can I find a cheap intercooler? Links would be much appreciated. Right now i have a stock exhaust(wish i had a sport exhaust tip lol) So I'm open to exhaust suggestions cause i want a whole new set up. I've tried searching the threads and havent found too much info on downpipes for an HX35. |
