SS929k | Yes I was thinking about the impedance. Also did not think about the wiring rubbing. I will check that as well to see if that sheds light on things. |

Did you confirm that the Cobalt valve has the same impedance as the correct Saab unit? You might also check for frayed or rubbed through wiring. That loom breaks down there and the the wires can rub open with vibration and engine movement. Whether the fuse blows or not might just be related to you moving the wiring around when you mess with the valve. "Beating on it" probably won't change the current draw in a circuit, but it might make the engine move further, making a short in damaged wiring. |

SS929k | Okay fellow saabers. I beat on the 9-5 really hard tonight to see if I could get the fuse to blow and I could not get it to blow. I unplugged the Boost Control valve (the valve that's riveted to the firewall) and beat the hell out of my 9-5 And could not get the fuse to blow. So my final test will be to plug it back in and get full boost to see what's going on. It's late right now so we will see what's going in when I go to work in the AM. So far I'm pinpointing it to the "boost bypass control valve" sine I replaced it not too long ag had to modify it since Eeuroparts sent me one for a Chevy cobalt and I had to modify it to fit the 9-5. |

SS929k | So unplugged the Boost Control solenoid which then caused the check engine light to come on but when I run full boost on it, I don't get a blown fuse. |

Ecu Fuse? Anybody know why I would keep blowing a number 27 fuse for my engine management system in my 04 Saab 9-5? Kind of weird of you ask me? |
