2k193turbo I thought the 2.3 and 2.0 are the same bore?
He could just use the pistons from the 2.0.
Try and turbo the 2.3, that thing would rip!

rcmdesign Cedric sent me a link the other day from a Saab with a 2.3L N/A engine converted to Turbo. I think he only needed to purchase new pistons...But wait until Ced posts...

saabvos i wouldn't recommend doing a swap to a 2.3 NA.....personally, i don't feel the 2.3 NA motor is strong enough to handle boost like a 2.0T motor or a 2.3T....those motors are built stronger to handle the boost as opposed to a motor that is a NA one....if you do end up putting a turbo in a 2.3NA, I would recommend that you build up the motor which in the end is going to cost more than just buying a 2.3T

snow4_1man I would go for the swap with the turbo on the 2.3. That would be nice to have in your NG900. Also thats going to take some time to swap but it should not be that hard. Just about everything blots up to everything. Let us know what you going to do.

Nice to have you on the site.

mike saunders Jeez....this is a project with a capital P...

I don't know if the tranny bolt patterns will match. Best thing to do is to get under that bad boy and measure them.

I'd try to turbo the 2.3L, but that would be nearly as much work as pulling the engine, replacing it, swapping trannys and getting a new ECU.
