93viggen As Drew said, why not drop the tank?

It really is not a bad job!

DrewP Just curious, but why don't you want to drop the tank? It's easy.

2004 9-3 Fuel Needle stuck on E

I have a 2004 9-3 and I hear that it is very common for the Fuel Sending Unit to go out causing the Float needle to read Empty. I am a do it yourselfer and I wanted to know what side the Fuel pump is located on. I don't want to drop the tank and all that. I just want to make a small cut in the sheet metal underneath the seat and remove it from there. Please help with details on what side the Pump is on and what type of tool is suggested to cut through. I have tons of power tools but don't want to cut anything important while doing this. Thanks
