|ricot83||well look at it this way ... the auto Hot's came with 185lbft of tourque so u figure i am around 30 more lbft than taht.... so that would b what 240 in a manual|

seems a little light for torque...but definately respectable. I just thought SAAB's torqued higher than HP as a standard...

|ricot83||im sorry to bring back such an old post but i totally forgot to write and respond here again.... i did dyno and i put down around the same hp as his stage 4 car.... 219 whp to b exact... and i dont have software yet....... its very odd.... i am gonna get a dp and then possibly dyno soon after spring|

Have you re-dyno'd since installing the larger housing? I'm very curious to know if you feel any better bottom end response with the larger exhaust housing.
Your about the closest to getting statistics relative to which is best...at stage 4. I'll tell you stage 5 feels like pretty soon...just rounding up more parts....after dynoing again for my LSD.

Just a thought .... but if you build for torque, HP will come...
Torque get's you off the line.., while HP helps you sustain higher top-end ...

Dosen't Eric have an ECU that pushes up to 7K..possibly more?
If you put your Aero Turbo on with 6cm as opposed to the 5cm/Viggen.., won't you in effect be pushing your HP/Torque curve up the RPM scale? If not disturb the flow rate on your bottom-end?
Guess pushing some of the HP up wouldn't be a problem.., but messing with your bottom-end torque without considering the appropriate IC, ECU, DP or exhaust might be more trouble than it's worth.
But since you won't be needing that 5cm/Viggen turbo, I'll take it off your hands.

ok saab4life me and u both have the same turbo, a td04-15t 5cm turbo (the viggen turbo)
erp is running a 9000aero turbo which is the same but with 6cm housing
i am also thinking of doing this but need to find an aero turbo

00-02 SE engines, 205bhp, had the "high output turbo" H.O.T. designation to distinguish them from the 185-hp predecessors...
The turbo is the TD04HL-15T, with the head improvements made on the 99 Viggen, i.e. better flow and Nimonic coated exhaust valves...

Here are some WHP vs. EGT plots from one tuned B235R (9-5aero).
Look at the EGT, they raise fairly rapid around 300BHP

Even with the TD04-15 #5 maxed out you will have a hard and bumpy road to reach 300BHP.

You should have the GT17 stock on car. Have you changed it with stage IV to viggen turbo TD04HL-15T? This part remained a mystery to me
If you are sitll using the GT17 then there is no way in hell that the car will ever produce 300hp no matter what you do.
Edit, I dont remember under which name the european 9-3 "AERO" was sold in the states. That model also has TD04HL-15T stock.
