Old Forge is definitely nice. I like Inlet because of the fact that it's so small. They just got POTC 2 in their little theater, if that says anything. Going from driving that Civic to my Viggen was like night and day. I almost stalled in their driveway because my clutch engages so low and theirs doesn't, but I just love my car.
S2000's are really nice cars. You really cannot beat the drop-top experience on a nice day. Plus 8 grand on the tach is nice as well.

0-60 is 5.8, 1/4 is mid to low 14's depending on source, so Viggen does catch up once it hits 3rd gear like it does to most cars

s2k oh boy....thats a sick car.
It would rock a viggen around the track. Its got a lot of room on the tach to work with too.

I had my dad's S2000 all last week (he was out of town) and I must say it was hard to go back to the Saab LOL
The Viggen felt like a pick-up truck handling wise, however it was nice to have TORQUE again. But you just can't beat that top down experience on a beautiful day.
Of course getting in and out of that car requires some acrobatics! Worth it though

|mcrowley||I drove up to my lake house yesterday in my 900...a trip that I usually make in the Aero. Needless to say I found myself downshifting quite a bit, not passing anybody and because of shitty suspension, having to slow for curves that I wouldn't normally notice....oh well. I know for a fact that when I hop in the 9k tomorrow (or whenever I drive it next) I'll appreciate it that much more. Big difference between a n/a ng900 and a Stage 4 9000 Aero.|

Boost is addictive....
I was in a little town called Inlet. It's somewhat close to Eagle Bay and Old Forge. Camped on the Seventh Lake NY state campground. The other lakes around are the ones on the Fulton Chain Lakes (number 1-8 ) and Limekiln Lake. There are some people we know there on the opposite side of 7th lake (right on the water) so we just dropped the boat in at Buck Hollow and took it over there. It's just so peaceful up in the adks with nothing going on, no cell phones or any problems at all. I was kinda mad because I have to go by Lake George to get there...if I could have planned better I could have just gone to SOC and stayed a couple extra days and then come back today as planned....Oh well, maybe next year.
And the Honda is great for what it was made for. It gets great gas mileage and lasts forever. But that's about it. It's a ha;f decent car just because of the gas mileage. I'm not a total Honda hater, just the ones that are made into something they were never designed to be.

I always looked at my honda for fun around turns, not in a power fashion. But a lot of honda kids are dumb. Def. a big change comming from my acura to this saab, everything is so lux. and it moves when you step on it.
Where in the adk did you go? I love goin up there at least once or twice a summer.

Man, I love my Saab
I just got back from a great, though quick vacation in the Central Adirondacks with some good family friends. We camped and boated and did a bunch of other stuff. But one of the most interesting experiences as of late came from driving their 1994 Honda Civic EX 5-speed. Everything felt light compared to the Viggen. The clutch pedal was light and felt lousy, the brake pedal was blah, steering was vague and light at any speed and it threw what weight it had around like it was no body's business. It left so much to be desired when going up hills. The first couple of times, I was waiting for the turbo to spool, and for the car to take off, but then reality set in: there was no turbo. After downshifts galore and about 5-6,000 revs something happens and you gain about 5 mph. It does however get 41 miles per gallon, which is great on a long trip such as this one. I want my Saab!!! How can kids think their cars are fast with the fart cannon and paper cone intake?? So this is just more of a "I love my Saab" thread more than anything, but I wanted to show just how much I appreciate the Swedes and their liberal use of the turbo. This may belong in some other section, but it pertains to Saabs, so it's not the OT. Feel free to move it, I'm not going to complain. Does anyone else appreciate their Saab as well?
