water in the IC, maybe that is why it feels sluggish, not reallllly sluggish, just off half a step. I see the gauge showing that the turbo is spooling, but just doesn't feel "right". Goes to mechanic tomorrow. 2 top it all off - hit and run on my wifes ML320, insurance company is going to love us. |

Good to hear that all is well! Water in the motor can be a really spendy problem...my neighbor floated his car recently and really screwed things up. |

I had the car towed to the dealership and had them do it. Water in the K&N Water in the IC (had to remove the front bumper to get at this) Obviously water in the cylinders ![]() Drained oil, then two changes The car is now running just as well as before that incident... I just avoid standing water these days ![]() |

I think a need a new plate - "Saabmarine" - pulled the plugs, watched water shoot out of the cylinders like the water show @ the Bellagio in Vegas. Getting the oil changed, feels a little "bogged" down. I think my turbo was going before (whines like it is not grounded or something and you get the whistle under hard acceleration) - boost gauge shows boost, but it feels like it lost a step. |

Good luck! As far as I know, the jeep is still running strong! You may have to change the oil twice.... |

gildedsplinters | My mechanic said the same thing. As long as it is not locked up or ruined, this would do the trick. Am going to try it today. |

Take the plugs out, and crank it. The water in the engine will come out the pug holes. Then change the oil. I sank a jeep once in glacier runoff, and this did the trick. |

I'm asking. Luckily I have full coverage - so what, a rebuild? new engine? maybe it will need a new turbo? Could be a "blessing" in disquise - I was wondering if 2.3 turbo would fit ![]() |

gildedsplinters | Wilmington, NC - actually right on top of us now - 70mph sustained 85gusts - not real bad - was in college for Floyd, Tar river came to my doorstep - crazy. Last year had the Saab painted after storm (dent on EVERY panel of the car). Don't let anyone ever say these cars aren't tough! |

Saab watercraft or super IC sprayer Little storm "ernesto" dropped some rain on us today, still is. Going to check on my boat I had to cross some "water" on the road. Got maybe 15 car lengths, water up to the bottom bolts of the wheels so exhaust soooo underwater - saight, just don't stop..... UNLESS an a$$ hole in ginourmous 4wd CT 2004 coming the other direction decides to hit it wide open and throw a wake that came up OVER my hood and up to the base of the windshield...and right through the grill into my modded intake (like plantoff site). Good news for all.... the front end floats... bad news.... 2 seconds later the car stops. Exhaust still under water so..... no starting. Thank's to the guys boozin' on the side of the road watching who pushed me out, and donated a Budweiser and smoke. 2 hrs later it ALMOST cranked. Guess I should wait till the rain stops and the storm passes. Anywho, didn't get any solid test results on my hydromatic IC sprayer/aqua wrap codenamed "leviathan". Will post results as available. |
