|mg_td||mm, the hawks are significantly more expensive than either the greens or the pro ceramics, so i hadnt really even been thinking about them. but thats good to know. maybe next time. apparently noone has tried the pro ceramics so im tempted...|

I did a ton of research and talked to Nick for a while, and in the end went with the Hawks. They have been everything I've wanted, and I would buy them again.
These pads will make your stock brakes work much better than stock.
The only noise I can hear is the hot air escaping from the slots in my viggen rotors. No squealing or anything.
I used some of that "disk brake quiet" goop that you put between your pad and caliper, and that probably helped too.
I have friends who have the greens, and like them, so they are my second option if I had to make a choice.

I have about 22K on new rotors and greenstuff's.
A few auto crosses and 1 track day in those 22K.
So far I think they are great. Dust is minimal and rotor wear seems reasonable.
Just my .02

Yeah we can slap em in, no prob.
I think the Viggen rotors can be expensive, so beware.
I have the greens, they're real nice. Porterfield is used by some people I know on their track Saab, not sure if they have different models for the street. I can't comment on any others since I dont have the experience.

|Palmer||I'm sure anything that GS sells would bem pretty sweet. I bet those are dusty though...|

|mg_td||ive been thinking about the pro-ceramics, i dont mind a little noise if it helps me stop.|

I have the akebonos and they are pretty sweet. Almost NO dust, and nice n' quiet.
I think out of all the ones GS sells, the ones I have are most like the stock ones.
I have a friend that swears by the hawks too, if that helps at all.

brakes. plain and simple.
which of the brake pads that genuinesaab sells are the best? between the satisfied pro ceramics, ebc greenstuffs, hawk hps, and akebono, there are too many options for someone like me with limited brake knowledge to make a decision.
i have to replace mjy front pads and rotors in order to pass inspection, so seth, whenever you get back from PA, i know you' ve done yours before.
