AeroDynamic hahaha anything good that goes to a SAAB around here wouldnt get thrown out... they saab mechanics would take it home for one of there own

One of the guys did tell me last week that he has a NEW 9k rear decor panel. I got pretty excited because those can get cracked pretty easy and i could have a NEW spare!

Nice finds guys... And its funny that i think any one of us would totally go do the same thing...

abdukted1456 in NY I am pretty sure once you put something out for trash the police can search it without a warrant too.
03-28-2006 08:22 AM
Palmer That makes no sense!

"Um, I'm throwing this away, but it's not trash until the garbage man touches it"
03-28-2006 08:12 AM
stromer are you sure the tires will hold air?
03-28-2006 07:15 AM
JK Shit! Thats awesome...I know in Minneapolis it's illegal to take anything that is set out for trash, either in a recipticle or near a recepticle with the intent being to have it picked and hauled away with the trash.

I wonder if that is a state law or just a local law around here, maybe some of the 'burbs (where the dealerships are) don't have laws like that

JK Don't the dealers that you guys go to keep security patrols around at night? It seems like any time I swing near a dealership after hours there's some damn rent-a-cop making his rounds

Tweek's Turbos
We throw some pretty good shit away at Infiniti.

I picked up about 9 floormats and 4 mismatched wheels.

stevehayes01 Ok now I am going to have to start dumpster diving at the only SAAB dealer in North Florida it seems!! Who knows what I might find!

CooperS7777 Yea, I hated my p-zeros too but the price was right on these so even if we get 20 bucks a peice for them we made out.

And yes that DI cassette is Nicks spare. AS far as the dealers "destroying" these. I think we all really know what happens The only thing DI we found in these dumpsters was empty boxes!
03-28-2006 04:22 AM
BurnsSide42 Probably HIS spare
P6 tires are crap - I never keep any unless they are above 6/32 cause they wear down sooo damn fast. Stupid tires
03-28-2006 04:19 AM
mcrowley What do you mean no DI cassettes? I see one stuffed in the midst of all those tires

"Parts Acqusitions" with STX221

So tonight (9:00 to be exact) Nick (STX221) and myself decided we were going to go dumpster diving at a few local Saab dealers (local meaning 1 hour ish away). So after the hour drive from my school, I met up with him and we took off. Our primary goal was to locate some DI cassettes - which we had no luck. At first it looked like it was going to be a bust as we didnt find any DI's.

Then we thought we struck it rich. We found 6 Pirelli P6 all seasons all with at our around 50% tread life. Then I found a shiny exhaust tip to put on my 2.5" Saab sport and what looked to be a damn near new alternator. So the night wasnt a bust at all.

Proof that you can stuff 4 tires in the back of a 9-5...had it been my NG, we could have had 10 in the back
