If you cannot find a new pan for reasonable price, it might be possible to weld/retap it, but you'll still have to pull the pan. I've done it before on an oilpan.
I've got an odd bolt on the 9-5 wagon, about to investigate it since its up for an oil change.

|BALDSAAB||what that is is that the last person that changed the oil in that car striped the drain plug in your car you need a new oil pan....... thats a cheap shitty fix for a retard that cant do a simple oil change drop the pan call a local yard or bite the bullit and call a dealer and get a new pan i havent seen one of those in a while sucks but fix it now..|

Bro, I don't know what that part is, but it doesn't look like any oil drain plug from any 9-5 that I know of. The drain plug that fits all models from 1999-2009 at LEAST looks like this:

What is this? (oil drain plug)
I went to change the oil in my 9-5 this evening, and discovered an odd drainplug. I didn't think much of it, when I unscrewed it, it didn't want to come out all the way. The oil stopped draining, and I went to screw it back in, and it "popped" loose.
Now it will not thread in AT ALL.
It doesn't thread in the normal way (as a bolt), rather it has a threaded shaft that screws into something else, kind of like certain wall anchors do.
In any case, at this moment, I'm screwed and have no way to plug my oil drain.
