I just removed the balance chain on my 2000 AERO with 155,000 miles. There is less vibration now than there was before (I did also replace the two upper motor mounts at the same time, so that helped somewhat with the vibration).

I know, I was saying those were the two answers he got, which both seemed like a "no" to me, and he did it anyway. I can see how that would be confusing now that you mention it.

|lekonna||the balance chain is there for a reason. why don't you just buy the kit and fix it while you're at it ?|

1998 9-5 balance chain removal ???
hi, i have a 1998 9-5 turbo with 2.3 engine , and deciding wether to remove the balance chain , in case it is slack( which i think it is ) , when i do the timing chain....
will or does the engine vibrate after the balance chain removal on the b235e ?
