No he can not. B234 pistons are taller from pin to top and would smash into the cylinder head if used with B235 rods and crank. Now if you used B234 rods with the B234 pistons, you might get away with it.

I'm not sure how much luck you'll have finding used B235 pistons, most people replace their's because they've broken their standard ones.

stock 2.3T pistons needed

Got a friend rebuilding his engine, needs a stock size set of pistons, used good is fine....anyone?
