Les Bouquins | So would you use a Saablink one if I created it? I need the OK from the moderators and whatnot though... I just don't want to kill bandwidth, as mentioned before. |

Les Bouquins | I'll also think about incorporating a search engine into it. |

Les Bouquins | Since it's text, I don't think it should be too bad... |

guru | Hell yeah, I'd use that. I mean, I basically live on the search page, but it'd be nice to give that a rest. Any idea how this will "drain" bandwidth, Thom? |

Everyone read! Cool idea! Everyone go download Konfabulator! It features Widgets like Dashboard in the new Mac OSX, Tiger. Included is a screen shot of my desktop on my Powerbook. It's SO worth checking out. Anyway, here's the significance of this post in regards to the forum: I'm going to design a widget for the Saablink that will sit on everyone's desktop... from here, you will be able to see all recent topics and brief text beneath them, showing what the thread refers to. I might use a turbo gauge or a griffin or something for the animation... it will essentially be based on the php file on the homepage with the scrolling subjects. What's everyone think? Would anyone actually use this? CHECK OUT THE PROGRAM. IT'S SWEET! WORKS FOR WINDOWS OR APPLE! |
