Guteman | Im sorry to bud in, I havent read this thread, but from reading the title of the thread... Cheap + Performance + Saab should never be in a sentence together, unless your lying like a rug. |

if you can't make it go fast. make it hold what speed you get in the corners. Making your car grip is wonderful. especially when you pass people on those tighter S turns on the highway or the long sweeping turns that everyone slows down for. you just keep right on going and now you are ahead of them. even if they are overall faster you are no ahead and they must play catch up. I learned that from Gran Turismo 3. When you can carry speed you get ahead. It rocks. anyway that is what i say... the sway bars and such are great. |

adidas_007 | Get your tires checked see if the balance is off. It's a small detail but it does affect the way the wheels act. |

like stated before, 1)fix the brakes, sell. 2)use the money you were gonna spend on mods, and spend it couple with the money from selling N/A NG900, and buy Turbo NG900. 3) Be happy for a couple weeks. 4) make some money working. 5) buy MBC and boost that thing to 15.5psi!!!! 6)enjoy for a couple months, and then just buy everything for stage 4 and be really happy for a while. |

DeLorean | I second what others have said, Adidas set up should make for a car that hangs on in the corners real nice, that would be what I would do too as far as suspension mods for an n/a 900 |

I also have a N/A 900 to here's what i've done to my car & I love the way it handles. If you can't make it go fast, you might as well make it hold the corners with a kung-fu grip. I warped a rotor once. First time I had my brakes done ever, I was 16, and brought my 96 900 to the local shop, paid 200+$ to have them done front and rear (I brought the parts). I was driving on the highway about a week later and my F R caliper came off inside the wheel, the brake line, wrapped around the hub was the only thing holding it to the car. It warped my rotor and ruined my viking wheel. I pulled over, took the wheel off and the caliper bolts were gone (or never there to begin with). I secured it in place with some zip ties and limped back, pads dragging over the warped rotor to the shop. They found some bolts, lo and behold, but would not refund my money for the work. Their excuse was I must have removed the caliper when I painted them red in the intervening week (I painted them on the car). BBB Complaints filed yadda yadda yadda. I do my own work now. Just a little story to inspire you to DIY (Don't get me started on shops forgetting to reinstall the transmission check plug and losing 100$+ dollars of MTF 00063!) |

Rotors do NOT warp. It feels like they're warped, but it is only buildup residue from the pads. I don't remeber the site, but it's been posted on here that talks about brake technology, and how rotors themselves (in all this guy's 30+ years of racing experience) do not warp. My rear rotors felt really bad, the shook terribly when I braked. When i finally got them off, there was some buildup on one side, and on the other side (facing the car) there were big gouges/chunks of metal that were worn/rusted away. EEuroparts.com has the best prices, get the cheap brembo rotors, they'll do great. Then once your brakes are good, get the car detailed, put it on craigslist and cars.com and sell it. Take that cash and buy yourself a Turbo Saab. |

From someone else who owns an n/a ng900...you're really not going to be able to make it fast. Disty cap/rotor/etc are routine maintenance items. About all you can do is make the car enjoyable....put a nice stereo in it, detail it, keep it clean, etc. They do make a great dd/beater though for when you get that nicer Saab. Save your $ for when you get a turbo! |
