Slabonator Ended up being the strut tower mounts. Popped the top covers, sprayed in some white lithium grease, sound is gone.. for now.

g96nt On my old 9-3, the sound you reference was the swaybar bushings... not the end-links, but the ones that hold the bar to the subframe. Although, that only happened when the bar was twisting.

Creaking from the front end

Sounds like the creaking bow of an old wooden ship. Only makes the sound when turning at slow speeds, or by moving the steering wheel left and right in the driveway.

-I've jacked the car and let the wheels hang: couldn't determine which side it was on as the sound was uniform.
-SAAB dealer said it was most likely the sway bar end links so I replaced them (they were pretty shot..) Sound is still there.
-SAAB dealer inspected all suspension components: all checks out apparently.

Could it be something in the steering column?
