I have found that unplugging the battery helps it go faster. Just had this on the 95 9000 aero and a couple years ago on my 97 900 se. Clean it, reinstall, disconnect battery for alittle bit then reconnect and usually it works pretty good.

Jeffcentola yea no idle problems and my check engine light is now off

gdc no check engine light no codes. did it work ?

turbojohnny It is possible that a faulty idle air control valve can be the root cause of a check engine light

Cleaning and reinstalling would definitely be one of the cheapest and easiest routes of eliminating the possibility.

idle control valve

my car idles low and or high sometimes only when im coasting in neutral. come to a dead stop and itll correct itself. going to take out and clean my idle control valve. my question is though could this be triggering my check engine light? ive disconnected my battery and the check engine light will go away but in a few hours of driving itll come back.
