Jeffcentola if it was just the resistor shouldnt the vents work all the time on high? mine rarely work. also the reverse lights has a switch on the tranny im told. how do i reset it or why would there possibly be constant power going to them. and the brights the lever is stuck on the bright indicator is always on the dash unless the fuses are pulled out. why would there possibly be constant power going to my lights. i hope itll be as simple as swapping out a relay. anyone ever have similar issues?

turbojohnny Those are some funky problems.

Does your car have automatic climate control (acc) or does it have the manual dials?
Usually if a blower motor only works on high it is because of a faulty blower motor resistor.

As far as your lighting issues are concerned, it might be the light switch itself. They are known to go bad.

Just a couple of suggestions.

electrical issues

my vents dont work. every now and then when i start my car the vents will work on full blast and nothing else. this sounds like a faulty blower motor to me? ive had weird instances though when ive been driving ill hit a bump and bam vents work on full blast again. also my reverse lights are stuck on. i had no choice but to take the bulbs out. another issue. one night i went to click my brights on and then theyre just stuck on even with the key out of the ignition. so i had to take the two fuses out under the hood. could it be as simple as a relay or could it have to do with the stalk itself that controls the brights?
