id say turbo it. dont throw $$$ at a 200bhp project. esp in a 3000lb car. the turbo will have alot more low end,mid and top.

not worth the hassle if you dont have the funds and a shop at your disposal
and this is coming from one of three ppl that have turboed a N/A's
and the first to successfully incorporate T5 with the turbo as well

best way to invest into modding the N/A is with suspension work and then giving it a slightly more aggressive exhaust note.
if you wanna go faster, get the turbo counterpart

since my car is trashed a n/a buddy of mine wants to swap the turbo stuff on his ride. most likely going with your first setup. turbo 11psi and mani, lines, fmic and plumbing, oil cooler, t5 injectors, with a stock turbo down pipe. and high oct gas.

where did you run the oil and coolant lines? with the n/a block

ill take pics if it goes through.

oil/coolant lines go to the factory spots for the turbo version
they're there on the n/a block, capped off

You know the N/A's are still fun as hell. If you do want to build it and don't mind the science behind it and don't mind doing the work yourself bore the cylinders, increase compression a little more, put an exhaust on it and then give it a tune. If you want more power, give the head the old port and polish treatment and then strip the interior (seats way at least 70 pounds).
N/A saabs are under rated. They have really good torque. This is coming from a guy that has had his 9000s since high school and has a 9-5 as well.
Yeah you can get big numbers buy turboing the car but true skill of modding comes from N/A applications. Whenever I see N/A 4 cylinder cars running 12's on the track or keeping up with 5 series at the circuit, I always have a smile on my face.
