New love for the 2.3i

I had Ryan tackle this little project on the 2.3i shop car. We will have to wait and see what the dyno tells us. This one is rough and dirty just for testing. No ss here. Heck the car doesn't even have hood or hatch struts. I plan to test back to back the stock airbox, My intake pipe, then add the header. Next step should be to play with cams and inlet manifold. Btw its a 4-2-1

on my old sentra headers made the car feel alot better up top and added a nice tone to the exhaust. nice work.

OK good gains..
Full size here
Baseline, Not 100% stock with straight through rear muffler.


Replaced Intake silencer box with our pipe


Replaced the stock air filter box with a Cone filter on the end of the MAF


And then with the added header on top of the inlet pipe, cone filter and straight through rear muffler. Gained a little torque


The runs together You can see the gains.


I would say the project is a success. With all the torque gains in the midrange it should drive lots nicer.

very cool, the back to back dynos really hit it home, almost 10 ft-lbs and 10 hp, and what looks to be a nicer curve, very nice work nick!!
