hey jeremy. i just opened-up my 2002 CNV to sound deaden it and thought I'd also install some polk audio db6501 components. Polks are shallow, so depth not a problem.. problem is how in the heck to mount the suckers. I am interested in how you did it -- (1) simply modify the black existing casing (by shaving down the teeth); (2) install the speaks without the casing, however, the space thing polk provides hits one mounting screw, possibly two but it is a stretch; or (3) make up my own?

Also, my guess is you used the existing wiring from the doors to inside, right?

And, last, I haven't popped in the tweets, but is there something special I should anticipate there (i.e another mounting headache)?

Thanks so much. I hope I am not disturbing your weekend.
